We schlepped a couple of tons of materials to her yard for starters. We removed the existing uneven patio tiles, then rented a skid-stear—as much to play with as to make easy work of clearing off the sod and leveling the patio base. Then we built a completely new patio that connected to the wheelchair ramp. Now our elevator and ramp fulfill their intended destiny and make all our past efforts make sense. Most importantly, the home owner can now enjoy her backyard which was the original goal. The Build Team doesn't know quit.
