Ongoing support from Barrington Area Community Foundation
BACF has generously supported The Build Team since our founding in 2013. Annually, BACF has granted TBT $2,000 to $5,000 for critical capital expenses that have provided us with, among other resources, two trailers, an arsenal of tools, and storage facilities. The BACF "Collaboration Award" of $5,000 also funded our work for other Barrington-area nonprofits.
Thanks to BACF, The Build Team has repaired over 70 homes for qualified homeowners. Board members Peter Shaeffer and David Brooks accept the 2022 grant of $2,200 from BACF Grants Committee co-chair, Robin Kelleher. The 2024 grant of $3,750 is accepted by board members Jerry Roman and Matt Kerekes.
